Automobiles have been a part of America for a very long time and that won't change ever I think. Growing up everyone had their favorite automobiles that they just couldn't live without. You would take it clean it and make it shine as you wanted everyone to know your automobiles were the best in town. Today's owners are a little different as we don't put as much time in them as we use to we have it done professionaly now.
A lot of things have changed recently with automobiles and some are good and some our bad. One big improvement in automobiles are the safety features added to automobiles. many cars today have air bags which deploy in a crash to help cushion the impact of your passengers and the driver. This has saved countless lives and will continue for years to come. With computers in most new cars they almost are worry and trouble free. Now don't get me wrong they still break down, but not as much as they use to. The cost to fix automobiles are a lot more expensive as the average person can't fix them and they must be taken to a garage. Foreign competition has hurt the American automotive market a lot. Automobile sales in the United States are down except for foreign cars which seem to keep selling well. Foreign cars anymore are the cars of choice in America and that won't stop for the foreseeable future because of price and they seem to be more reliable than American made cars. This doesn't stop our love with automobiles though. Classic cars are another segment of automobiles that have a huge following. on the weekends you can visit car shows where these classic cars will be displayed for you to look at. Some of these are very beautiful cars. Automobiles will always have a place in America folklore and our past and futures. The automobile is a rite of passage for Americans and that trend will not stop anytime soon. people love their cars and will continue to do so no matter what the cost. Year after year as they introduce new models Americans are still their buying them as you never know when the next classic could be in your hands. I guess that's why Americans love automobiles so much you just never know.
