People love their cars almost as much as anything else in their life. cars though have changed a lot through the years. Years ago cars were built with no mind to the price of gas. These cars had big engines built into them and gas was the second thing considered when you purchase one of these gas guzzlers. That changed with the first oil crisis in the United States as car companies when to a smaller more economical car. Honestly, they weren't very popular and the quality of these cars weren't very good. These cheap cars had a effect on the image of American car companies.
After the oil crunch was gone and the United States was doing well the big cars and trucks came back and a boon in the car industry was seen in America once again. cars were in vogue and people made their cars the centerpiece of whatever they did. Cars are an extension of people and what they stand for. They will take their car and have it reflect how they feel or what they may love. Cars have become very important to certain people for many reasons. Cheap cars are becoming more available as people are making less money and car manufacturers try to lure these people in with lower prices and less extras on their cars. it use to me where almost everything came with a car. Nowadays you can basically pick and choose the options you want which does effect the price and can lower it or increase it. The car industry though recently has changed a lot as American auto makers are shutting plants down as they can't compete as well with foreign firms as they once did. Cars are still though as popular as ever in middle American and that will never stop. Cars are a part of the fabric of America and will continue to be. The future may not be as bright for cars as it once was it doesn't mean America will quit buying cars. They are a part of each of us and will be for a very long time to come. If you would ask anyone which of the cars they have owned was their favorite. You would get a very quick answer. Why is that? Simply we love our cars and that love affair goes deep.
