Motorcycles have changed a great amount in recent years. Just twenty years ago we were talking about Motorcycles that went 130-140 miles per hour. Nowadays that is actually slow compared to the monster machines that are being produced today. let's take a look how this has happen and if their will ever be an end to this madness. First of all motorcycle riders have always been thrilled with speed and that has just grown over the past few years. It's true that some riders just ride to enjoy themselves, but so don't and that's where the trouble lies.
It use to be a time when the biggest displacement motorcycles were the ones built for speed and power. That just isn't the case anymore. Even the smallest motorcycles made have plenty of power to get you from point a to b. Why are they so popular than. Motorcycle companies are not dumb and have used names for their bikes such as Ninja, interceptor, and magna to just name a few. the word Ninja has been around for awhile and with a lot of power behind it the name makes you think of bad things. Plenty of thought goes into names for motorcycles, just as the design of these massive powerful bikes. Through the years these motorcycles have gotten alot better as far as handling and acceleration. When you can go from 0-60 in three seconds that pretty fast on something that gives you very little protection if you hit something or somebody. It doesn't deter the popularity of these machines though as more and more are sold every day. Companies know the powerful ones will outsell most everything else so they make sure even on television or movies they're shown in good light. Marketing is the key for these crotch rockets as they are called on the street. You can also purchase cheap motorcycles as they are many around as people want to upgrade to a better ride. I see that trend to continue in the near future. motorcycles are here to stay and will continue to grow in popularity as the price of gas soars and people look for more economical way to get around town. To tell the truth motorcycles have carved a niche in society and it looks like we have fell in love with them and that won't ever change.
