One of the things that many people work on when they get their cars is the audio system. People value a great audio system in their vehicles they will spend a lot of money getting it just perfect. let's take a deeper look at how audio systems have changed lately. Many years ago the 8- track tape was the audio system that people used. We then progressed to the cassette tape and now we are on the compact disc and we are slowing getting away from that.
Compact disc audio system is in most new vehicles you buy and when someone puts in a audio system into their vehicle that is usually what they go with. One major change that has really improved besides the sound quality is the security features that are on the new audio systems. Security has gotten to the point that you take the face plate of your stereo receiver in your car and even if someone does steal it the player will not play at all. This has cut down on theft the past few years. Car audio systems through the years continue to be louder year after year. In fact they even have contests to see who can get the loudest reading on a meter. It's something that people actually spend thousands of dollars trying to get the crown for. With the computer and MP 3 files some audio systems are being designed to use these to. I can see the day when compact discs are out and MP 3 is the choice of many. Audio systems can download the files and than they are their forever. Audio systems will continue to change as new things are introduced and old things are done away with. One thing recently I have seen in some new audio systems is mini televison screens built into the audio receiver. This kinda of scares me as people won't keep their eyes on the road and that isn't a good thing if you ask me. Audio in our cars and even in our homes mean a lot to us and I don't see that changing anytime soon. People love music and that will never change in fact it will probably grow even more in the near future. Audio is here to stay and the use of it will be discussed for many years to come both pros and cons.
