One thing through the years that have changed very much is education. Education still though is one of the best investments you will ever have in your life. over the years though the way kids are educated have changed a lot it seems. Years ago it seems education was the most important thing in the world and dropout rates were slim to none. That isn't the case anymore. Let's look at what has happen to education.

Part of the problem in today's education process is our core values have changed a lot. Years ago you would have a father working while the mom stayed home and took care of the kids. That just doesn't happen anymore. We are a two income family and the ones who pay the price our the kids and their education. Less and less time is paid now to our kids education and kids are left to figure it out on their own. This hurts the kids education and their power to earn a good wage when they leave High School.

Proper education is becoming secondary as schools pass kids on even if they don't know the material. Kids are the real loser in this scenario. Things have changed a lot with the Internet to. Kids can get on the computer and have the answers they need right from a search engine they aren't forced to use their minds like we did when we were kids. One change that maybe has helped is online education.

Online education has really taken off and another segment off that is kids being home schooled. People have less and less time so when they can do it online it's becoming the weapon of choice. Does it help? Well maybe extra education is better than not having any at all. Our society has also changed a lot with teen pregnancy and higher crime rates thus education is becoming more important than ever. Hopefully education will become more important as it was years ago. I don't know though if we will ever see that time again.

Education has changed and getting it back to what it was maybe a lot to ask. Time is something people seem to have less and less of so I don't know if education will ever be the most important thing we get as we grow up. Hopefully one day it will be.
