Hotels have been around for the longest time, but until recent years the Hotel industry hasn't seen alot of growth. Hotels are now one of the most important part of your travel plans. Hotels have changed from just a place to stay to a home away from home. Let's take a look at what some of these hotels now offer now. Many off the hotels now offer things from free breakfast to some of the best programming on your television to keep you busy all night long. Hotels have gone from a place to stay to a entertainment community by itself.
Even cheap hotels are getting on the act by offering incentives to stay with them. I remember a time when all you got for your money was a room and a few television stations to watch. Nowadays most hotels offer some kind of premium to stay with them. Some of these incentives include the ability to earn free stays or trips and sometimes even money. Another big change in hotels are the rooms themselves. The beds and decor are so much better than it was just a few years ago. You can basically spend any amount of money you want for a hotel from as cheap as 30.00 to as much as you want to spend. One of the newest thing that I'm seeing with hotels are water parks being incorporated into when they are built. Hotel companies are understanding that they have to do what ever it takes to keep them coming back so they have added water parks among the attractions to stay with certain hotels. I don't think this will stop for a long time to come. The bottom line is customers drive hotels and the more customers you can get to be repeat customers the better chance you have of making it in the industry. It's a cut throat industry as it seems they are building hotels everywhere. Sometimes you can see two hotels sitting on opposite corners at a street light. I've learned to compare hotel prices and what they offer before you stay somewhere. One hotel may have a lower price but not everything you are looking for. Comparison shop is always a good idea. Hotels will keep pushing the envelope and the real winners will be their customers as they are getting the deals with all the competition.
